Pods!

The Pod

Out of my need for a garden shelter and a desire to create an original and beautiful even fantastical dwelling, the Pod was born. Balancing on a single point and free to spin in any direction, whether to face the rising or setting sun or to turn away from the prevailing wind. This structure meets those needs and many more, the elevated position makes her damp, flood and rodent proof and the cellar space means you can keep a beautifully tidy open plan living/working space above.

A Pod can be a small and womb-like one person meditation space or a bright and airy multi-faceted bedroom/studio space, the possibilities are nearly endless and the inspiration you will gain within hopefully will be too.

Pods can be commissioned for all sorts of situations and are tailored to your needs in close consultation with you.

So we went to the Emerald Isle and had a little look, well actually I think we got pretty well immersed in her. We swam in lakes and rivers, got lost in woods and got eaten to death by the dreaded Midges!

Our little home for the moment

After a long wait for the canvas and 3 month's in a tent (r.i.p Connie!) we moved into this in October 2007.
We have spent the winter in warmth and comfort, if a little cramped at times but will soon be leaving it behind and swapping it for a canvas construction of a much smaller size (about 50litres) and traveling to southern Ireland and beyond in search of adventure, lovely people and beautifull places and ultimately a patch of land on which to build the new Stickland-Moon family home!
